While this was a factor in the show as early as the third episode which showcased the Outback’s wilds and how nature could be corrupted by outside sources it was in the second half of Ultraman: Towards The Future the discussion widened. A great focus of Ultraman: Towards The Future/Ultraman Great after the series main villain, Gudis, was defeated was exploring how humanity affects the planet. Specifically humanity and our place in regards to the planet’s environment. It focused on our terrestrial home not just as a beautiful blue gem that shone in the dark expanse of space but also turned attention towards humanity and its relationship with it.
